My Art Studio

Project Description
When the owners of My Art Studio for Kids first leased space in Baldwin Park, they knew they needed the space created with an artistic flair—a plan that was economical, enticing for children, and finished quickly. McCree came highly recommended and—after meeting with McCree’s chairman, Richard McCree Sr.—they hired McCree to design and build their project. My Art Studio for Kids was a tenant build out in the heart of Baldwin Park. The project is a gathering place for young children to have experiences in painting, sculpture, computer design, and theater. Perhaps the most stunning feature is the giant tree in the middle of the indoor facility. When McCree started work on the project, it found a massive support column in the middle of the store. McCree’s architectural team created a method to utilize the tree into the theme of an outdoor porch by designing limbs, leaves, and bark, transferring the support column into a center point for the entire complex.
The project was completed on time, on budget, and to exceptional quality.
