First United Methodist Church of Tavares
600 W Lanthe St, Tavares, FL 32778
Project Description
When First United Methodist Church of Tavares’ sanctuary burned down they opted for the traditional method of construction and hired an architect to rebuild their parish. They contacted McCree when it came time to bid their project to contractors. McCree does not normally do hard-bid work, but due to the nature of the project we decided to look at their plans anyway. We immediately recognized problems with the plans and the church’s established budget. We informed the church of the price discrepancy, and at first the church council was incredulous. However, they quickly realized they were facing a problem when other contractors began to quote them prices in the range our firm had already suggested. The church turned to McCree, citing our honesty and professionalism, and we were able to work with them in designing and building a new sanctuary which exceeded their expectations and came in under budget. In fact, the church saved so much that they were able to add many upgrades which they had not originally planned.
The project was completed on time, on budget, and to exceptional quality.
