ORLANDO, Fla. (September 15, 2009) – Richard McCree Jr., President/CEO for
McCree Architects & Engineers, was recently named Central Florida’s
Outstanding Male of the Year in Orlando
Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 competition.
The designation, awarded annually,
recognizes the most successful young executives in the Central
Florida area. Each candidate’s business accomplishments are
augmented by high-profile leadership positions in community endeavors. McCree,
a first-time nominee, was chosen among over 150 candidates as the Outstanding
Male of the Year.
After McCree graduated from the
Georgia Institute of Technology in 1993, McCree worked at Peninsula
Engineering, Inc. while obtaining his master’s in business administration at Rollins College. McCree joined the family business
in 1996 as an estimator and has since progressed through the ranks to his
current position as President/CEO.
In addition to his duties at
McCree, McCree was recently invited to join Lifework Leadership’s Board of
Directors. He is also involved with
Valencia Community College Foundation, Committee of 100, Orlando Rotary Club, Orlando History Center
and Junior Achievement.
